Description
Recently formed West Georgia area cover band seeks a female vocalist to cover songs by artists such as Sade, Anita Baker, Alice Smith, Nina Simone and Etta James. We've been rehearsing and hope to be gigging by mid to late summer. We are all older (50s, 60s), experienced pro-level musicians and looking for the same in a female singer. If you write originals, we'd be happy to play some of those too mixed in with the covers. The ability to harmonize with male singers is a big plus. If you play congas, a flute or saxophone that would be great as well. If you have problems learning songs you've never performed or have a problem being "just one of the guys" you might not fit in very well. We want to rehearse and perform as a unit. There will be no one "star" of the show. We all want to shine. If you're interested, it is essential that you submit a brief musical bio including any training or stage experience you may have, along with a link to samples (audio/video) of you performing live or any studio work you've done. We also need a way to contact you directly....both an email address and your phone number in case your material and profile fit what we're looking for. Thank you in advance. One more thing: We are very serious about the music but like to cut up a little during our sessions and we're all very friendly and caring people. If you can't like, enjoy and have fun with the people you play with, what's the point?
