Plant The Future (Founded in 2008) is an award-winning biophilic design studio, retailer, and venue based in Miami, FL. We design and build products, spaces and experiences that connect people with nature and their spiritual essence. Our property is situated on over 50,000 sq feet of beautifully landscaped grounds in the up-and-coming area of Little River. We are looking for someone with a passion for working outside, enjoys planting and maintenance, who pride themselves on their work and strive to maintain an aesthetically-pleasing environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining gardens including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and organic/natural pest control. Maintaining the irrigation system throughout the property. Maintaining water features (fountains), kayak and play area, outdoor seating and meditation areas. Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc. Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of the buildings and grounds as needed Scheduling/overseeing any specialty maintenance services Ordering supplies and equipment needed for grounds maintenance Oversee security of the property including all entry points and gates. Assisting with the set-up, coordination of any company events on the grounds Skills & Requirements Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment Knowledge of landscape plants and gardening techniques Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time Reports to: CEO Reporting Employees: None (Please provide your resume, e-mail, and phone number on the application)
