Native to El Paso, TX, she is a proud female entrepreneur. Graduate of UTEP with a degree in a degree in Communication in Advertising. She began her professional career at Marketing Werks, and later for TEAM Enterprises. In 2011, Mel pursued a college idea, to open a pizzeria. She currently owns and operates three locations in El Paso, and staffs over 45 employees. Mel is also a wife and proud mother. Mel has been recognized locally as “Best Entrepreneur” three years in a row by What’s Up Magazine. She was awarded the Paradigm Award by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She was given a Proclamation from the City of El Paso for supporting Downtown El Paso and small business. She is motivated and eager to grow with her community. Fannie Jarvis Martinez, is the owner of Skyline Street Bar & Grill. A native to El Paso Texas, she is a first generation American, and a proud female business woman. Fannie received her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration in 1990; she has had a career in El Paso healthcare spanning 31 years. Fannie’s dream of owning a bar & grill was brought to fruition in January of this year, when she opened her neighborhood bar and grill. She is a wife, mother of four, and a grandmother of 13. She strives daily to implement a ” Home Away From Home” feel to her Bar & Grill ensuring everyone feels like family when they visit Skyline Street Bar & Grill Maggie Asfahani, is the owner of Salt + Honey Bakery Cafe.
