Thanks to all who responded. We have a crew lined up for tomorrow. *** Please no more responses! *** We need to bury our replacement water line. The ditch needs to be about 18" deep and about 24 feet long, through the garden and next to the driveway. The work will involve digging between plants, sawing through some roots, and removing some pavers at the end of our front walkway. We're paying $15/hr cash for casual labor, or $20/hr if you're experienced (fast and efficient). We have good leather gloves in sizes large and extra large if you need them.
