Work for O'Neal Steel, hiring now! $15.50/hr O'Neal Steel Material Handler FULL-TIME $15.50/hr 841 N Michigan Rd, Shelbyville, IN 46176 This job covers a wide range of job assignments that are involved in material handling. Incumbents will be involved in the receipt of inbound inventory, placing material into storage, pulling inventory from storage to fill customer orders, and loading material on trucks and trailers for outbound shipment. Duties typically assigned to employees in this classification include: • Forklift operation • Cleaning parts • Operate a Kasto machine • Load outgoing trucks • Operate a side loader • Operate a stacker crane • Pull stock • General material handling or warehouse work • Yard Dog operation • Any other activity that might be required of the employee at any given time Shift Differentials: 1st shift - 6AM - 2PM - $.00 2nd - 2PM - 10PM - $.75 3rd - 10PM - 6AM - $.75 Premiums: Loader - $1.00 Yard Dog - $1.50 Leadman - $1.00 • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane utilizing pendant, radio or cab controls. • The ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers and micrometers. • Visual acuity: must be able to distinguish color, regardless of the position of colors • Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position. • Ability to accurately read a tape measure. • The ability to operate any piece of metalworking equipment. • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
