30 years ago I was making $30 an hour. It was a good rate of pay.. Now...fast forward to today. Machnic/ $120+ an hour Exhaust repair $170+ an hour. Dentist $300 / per extraction.. My point being... $30 an hour sounds like a lot.. And 30 years ago..it was.. But today..$30 an hour doesn't cover many expenses.. In less you work numerous hours/ days/ weeks... I work " gigs" I find on Craigslist. Average pay $20 an hour.. Loading and uploading trucks. Cleaning horse stalls. Maintenance/ handyman work Just to supplement my income. Cause SS just doesn't pay enough.. I work hard..but it's just not worth it anymore. I have to work 8 hours to pay my machnic To work on my car for 1 hour... I truly look forward to sum feedback on this.?? Inflation has sky rocketed. And so has the cost of repairs.. But people still want you to work at a pay rate that was set sum 30 years ago... What do you thinx.?? Thanx you..
