Learn how to connect you mind, body and spirit with your creative self.
The book “The Body Keeps the Score” talks about ways that the body holds on to trauma we have experienced, the author, as well as numerous other authorities on trauma, recommends mindfulness and physical activities as well as artistic endeavors, to encourage the body to release and heal. In the Spirited Art Session, I will lead you through a practice I developed when my PPD and PTSD had gotten so out of hand that words could not express the pain I was feeling. I will help you learn to connect your mind, body, and spirit, in an effort to make room for the Spirit that moves through all of us. (The class is not associated with any religions, but most of us share the belief in some form of Creator Spirit or Universal Energy and I believe that Voice is where art comes from-I highly recommend The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron for more understanding of this.)
