More about the Exhibiting Artists: Ted Hinrichs’ abstract painting practice is rooted in his continual fascination with the dynamics of relationships. His work explores the variety of languages used to communicate with other humans and with the universe. He begins with a relationship concept then uses colors and shapes to portray his understanding of the elements involved in communicating within it. The image consists of many layers which journal the flow of discovery. Within the layers are mysterious shapes that resemble the nature of the language of imagination. Bea Bonanno’s work is an exploration of the human psyche through the interaction of texture, color, and shape. Patterns emerge from the synthesis of the invisible self given visual form. Motifs repeat, transforming with each iteration, like a memory being remembered.Thought-forms made solid colliding and interacting with one another over a background of feeling tuned by color. Robert Castillo is versatile. Though formally receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Bass, he began painting in March 2018 after accepting the challenge to host a solo show. This decision led to a rich passion for creating visual art using oil, gouache, acrylic, colored pencils, spray paint, and whatever else he can get his hands on. His visual art spans from geometric abstractions that represent personal life events and emotions, to realistic portraits of beloved ones, as well as scenes rooted in his Mayan heritage. Without formal visual art instruction, Robert creates without inhibition. His visual art is inspired by his experience creating and playing music, and often these musical ideas shine through his visual art.
