FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Marlborough man is facing assault and drug charges following an apparent shooting attempt in Framingham this week, according to police.
Just after 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Framingham police went to an apartment complex along Route 9 near the Ashland line on a report of gunfire. Officers discovered two people at the scene who been shot at.
Police then identified Shaun Sutton, 25, of Marlborough, as a suspect. On Friday, Framingham, Marlborough and state police went to a home along Briarwood Lane in Marlborough and arrested Sutton, police said in a news release Saturday.
During a search of the home, police found two guns and cocaine. Sutton was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, possession with intent to distribute a class B drug and several weapons charges.
