Calling all dye-hards! Join Region 12 to learn about immersion dyeing with shibori resist techniques. During this in-person, immersion dyeing workshop, Johanna Marshall will show you how to create brightly decorated cotton fabric through dyeing techniques, that you can wear as a shawl, scarf or hair wrap. You'll learn to use shibori resist techniques with multiple colors for rich, surface-design effects. Participants should bring gloves (a pair of kitchen gloves is perfect), an apron and a plastic bag to carry damp items home.Optional items: clean cotton items such as a pillowcase, t-shirt, mask or tote bag, or unfinished wood objects such as blocks or beads to dye. Kim Scott is graciously offering her yard for this workshop! Park on the street and walk to the back of the driveway. Please, bring your mask. Participants will receive 3 hours of Act 48 credit.
