Description

Sunday morning outdoor fitness class with Strength Haus to benefit Asian Americans United on 5/23/21! It's time to show off your best kettlebell swings with the VU Crew! We are so excited to partner with Strength Haus Fitness this month for an outdoor, socially distanced workout as we raise funds for Asian Americans United. This class is open to all levels, so whether this is the first time you've worked out in a while, or you're basically a pro a squats and planks, we welcome you to join us and Strength Haus Fitness on Sunday, May 23 at 10:00am on the steps of the Art Museum. And now onto the details! Where: Art Museum Steps [2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia] When: Sunday, May 23 @ 10:00am What if it rains? Well, we certainly hope it doesn't! But in the event that it does, there is a backup location in Queen Village, so the workout will happen at the same time and date regardless of weather. We'll email and/or text you with the backup location should weather become an issue. What should I wear and bring? Please wear clothing conducive to working out outside, and wear a mask that covers both your mouth and nose at all times. We also suggest bringing water! As for equipment, we suggest bringing your own workout mat. What does it cost to attend? Registering for this event is free, but we are suggesting a donation of $15 to benefit Asian Americans United - VU PHL will be matching donations up to $300. Please email a screenshot of your donation to [email protected] To donate, click HERE. About Asian Americans United: Asian Americans United is a non-profit in Philly whose mission is to support people of Asian ancestry in Philadelphia to exercise leadership to build their communities and unite to challenge oppression. They have a particular focus on youth so that young people in our communities are supported to become individually, socially, and politically aware; to exercise their voice; and to participate in active struggles for justice. Through this work, they create generations of leaders who sustain, fight for, and give back to their communities. Questions? Email [email protected]
