Description
As a busy business owner, I rely on my staff to weed out job candidates whenever we have a new post. They weed out candidates down to a qualified number I set (could be 2, 3, 5, whatever), depending on the position.
Once I have a short list, I go home and do some quick background searches. I know a few investigators, and sometimes ask them to gather research — such as details on social media that I can’t see, but they can.
Assuming my staff gives me a good list, I’m often just looking for “social justice warriors” (SJWs) — the types of people who will cost my business time and money, encourage misery, censor coworkers, bring up politics at every opportunity, and claim victim-hood for themselves and others.
I made the mistake of hiring a classic “snowflake” who could barely function in a fast-paced workplace. This person was somewhat bright, but focused their intelligence on constant complaining and whining. I kept track of the time my staff and I spent addressing the whines and decided to never hire another SJW again.
How I got rid of this person was I assigned them to a very conservative client, but in a secondary position, with no direct contact. I kept close watch on this employee’s social media posts, and found they had posted a derogatory message about the client, in direct violation of their employment contract. My hardball attorney got rid of them fast.
