NAPERVILLE, IL — A person was injured in a shooting in the 700 block of Route 59 in Naperville Saturday evening. The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m., according to a public notification from the Naperville Police Department. The suspect is still at large, but police say they do not believe there is a threat to the public because the suspect left the area. Members of the Aurora Police Department were actively assisting with the investigation, according to an update on Facebook. The person who was shot was taken to a local hospital. Their condition was unknown as of 8 p.m. Saturday, according to Naperville Police Department spokesperson Michaus Williams. Citing the ongoing investigation, Williams said he was unable to provide additional information.
