3 year old Australian shepherd mix

Description

A couple years ago we had some elderly dogs dumped on us when a friend died. I couldn't find homes and none of the rescues would help us. From the moment they walked in my door they have snapped at and antagonized my 50ish pound Australian mix. After 2 years he has started to retaliate and unfortunately I still can't find homes for the elderly dogs and I am affraid that eventually my dog will seriously hurt them. Bear is a very sweet, timid Australian shepherd mix. He has lived with us since he waz 9 weeks old and has always gotten along well with my small (10 pounds) dogs. He does well with cats and rabbits. He grooms tiny kittens like a mother would and he is always very gentle with them. Bear was crate trained but since covid started I have rarely left the house and he hasn't been left home alone at all so he hasn't been locked in a crate in a year. He does still sleep in it sometimes though. Bear thinks he is a lapdog but can take a while to settle down in your lap. He sleeps in my bed at night, often across my legs or back. He has been taught to do this to help with my PTSD. Bear is fully potty trained with a doggy door and will typically wait until he can get outside but did pee on the side of our fridge once when he couldn't get outside first thing in the morning. Bear is neutered and the last time he was weighed he was 50 pounds. He has gotten a little chubby since then though. He was up to date on shots but because of covid he didn't get them this year. He does well with having his claws trimmed. Bear does not like cars. He has to be picked up to be put in one and will bolt as soon as the door is opened. I have bad knees and a bad shoulder which prevented me from really being able to work with him with this. He pulls on the leash and hasn't been walked much for the same reason. Bear has never been around dogs who are more than about 10 pounds so I don't know how well he will do with big dogs. He would probably do best with another dog friend or a human who is home most of the time as he has never been alone. Bear is a very sweet dog who has been pushed to his limit by the other dogs and one of them has to go. I love my dog and it is very hard to part with him but nobody wants a 12 year old dog with health problems so Bear needs a new home. Asking $100 to ensure a good home. Please TEXT
