Mini Bantam Rooster

Description

Peanut is a little over a year old and is a mini Bantam Cochin rooster. The cons: He has been attacking our 7 year old a lot the last 3-4 months and has unfortunately caused small injuries to her. He also attacks our dogs if he gets the opportunity to do so. He also attacks males (especially if they have boots on). Excessive day time crowing. Does not want to go back into the pen after free ranging. The pros: He has never attacked me. He seems to be quite successful at breeding with our hens as we’ve had many fertilized eggs. He is also a very good protector for the hens and allows them to eat first. He’s calm in your arms once you actually catch him. He also gets along well with other roosters. No fighting and his spurs are very small. For the reasons above, we’ve made the decision to rehome him to someone with more space and potentially less human interaction. He would thrive on a larger property or farm with the ability to free range more often. Serious inquiries only- he is NOT a meat chicken. He is a pet and should be treated as such. Only experienced chicken owners should inquire about him please! He is free to a good home that has the appropriate means of caring for him. We want him to be happy and live a good life. Thank you!
