We are a family of 5 and specifically looking for a younger dog to give a furever home to. I will pay but can’t afford $800+ designer puppy. I am fine with mixed breed or less than perfect. Our only stipulation is age and we have a reason for it. You see 3 years ago dog we adopted at age 6 developed brain tumors after being ours for 4 years and he didn’t make it. My boys were heartbroken. The summer after that my dog of 15 years passed away due to old age and kidney failure. And then we went with no dog until my grandmother had a stroke. At that time we took in her older Westie. My boys and I fell in love, unfortunately after my grandma passed away our new family member developed an aggressive form of cancer. Each time my kids and I have been devastated. I promised them a young healthy dog to play with and take for walks. One that will make it through the rest of their childhood. None of us can handle another loss any time soon. We have a budget especially if the pup still needs vetting and to be spayed or neutered. We are responsible and have no intentions of ever breeding. We just want a long term loving family companion. If you have anything (we have checked shelters) please let us know.
