Looking to grow our company and train someone to become a weed control spray technician. You will be trained and expected to take the State licensing test for a Spray technician. It is a 50 question test you need to pass with a 70%. We supply the books and training. You will be expected to test within 30 days. This requires someone who has a clear head and is drama free. There is a lot to take in. It is not a job for someone who is lazy or a slacker. You will need a positive upbeat attitude. The ability to learn new information and retain it from day to day. You will be dealing with a lot of different chemicals and need to know what each does and what damage it can do if put on the wrong type of grass. Honesty is a must. Must be able to handle corrective criticism. Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle (no having someone drop you off) since you will eventually be driving a chemical truck. No long distance commute to the shop. Must be neat and pick up after yourself. Clean out truck every evening. If you take a tool out or anything, it must go back where you found it. You must be good with math. This is working outside year round. We do not stop work. No druggies or drama. You must be able to learn things quickly and retain the information. Must be clean cut and speak well since you will be interacting with clients. It is a lot of responsibility. If you cannot handle responsibilities or do things the way you were taught, this job is not for you. Must be on time for work. Please don't lie during your interview.
