As an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic (F/T), fixes vehicles and replaces their parts as needed. The duties include inspecting the vehicle’s mechanical components and its engine, diagnosing problems with vehicles and performing maintenance and repair work on cars, trucks and other vehicles, 90% fleet work, 10% public work. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, first month 9am-5:30pm, then 7am-3:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm. • Identify potential problems in a vehicle and ensure all critical parts of the vehicle are checked, tested, and replaced, as needed. • Perform basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires. • Repair or replace worn, old, or defective parts of a vehicle. • Repair or modify a vehicle to a client’s specifications, if possible. • Repair and replace mechanical parts and electrical components. • Order parts for repair after initial tear down of vehicle. • Perform PA State Inspections and Emission Inspections. • Keep all company vehicles in safe and working condition. Skills: • Alignment • Mechanic experience • Driving • Brakes • Diagnostics This position requires a minimum 1-year experience in Automotive Repair and PA State Inspection & Emission Inspection License (Preferred).
