Housekeepers wanted full time - New Hostel E. Burnside (Portland) compensation: $15/hour Benefits package will include a health insurance plan, access to a savings plan, paid time-off/sick leave, tuition assistance / scholarship opportunities, and discretionary bonuses employment type: full-time Housekeeper - Spring 2021 We’re looking for hard-working, responsible housekeeping staff at our new hotel/hostel in Portland. Housekeeping staff will work closely with the company’s owners and General Manager as a part of the opening team to provide the best experience for our first Portland guests. All staff members will work up to 40-hours a week in up to 8 hours shifts (including weekends and holidays). The housekeeping team will be responsible for the daily cleaning of 87 rooms and bathrooms as well as all back of house and common spaces, including a bar/café and exterior spaces. We’re looking for staff to train and start in mid-May. Spoken English is a must. About Lolo Pass Lolo Pass is a newly constructed 87 room, 282 guest hotel/hostel hybrid in Portland, OR. The property features both shared and private rooms. Lolo Pass showcases Portland’s exciting F&B scene with a café, restaurant, bar, and seasonal rooftop bar. Other features of the property include an art gallery open to the public, a guest kitchen, and an active programming calendar to integrate guests into Portland's vibrant cultural scene. Duties Clean 87 guest rooms and bathrooms daily to hotel standards Change bunk bed linens and clean locker spaces for guests who have checked-out Maintain cleanliness of dormitory bathroom suites Clean the guest kitchen throughout the day, including doing dishes Deep clean the café/bar on a daily basis Load and organize cleaning carts and storage spaces Communicate linen orders to manager and organize supply deliveries Communicate cleaning supply inventory levels to manager Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements Duties cont. Run loads of laundry for back of house use (uniforms, rags, mops, etc.) Guest linen laundry is outsourced. Inspect condition of all furniture and equipment for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to the supervisor. Update status of rooms cleaned in Property Management System using your phone. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor with all guests. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Work well with and support the team to reach common goals. 
Qualifications Legal permission to work in the United States Fluency in English, preferable fluency in a second language as well Experience in some cleaning capacity, preferably hotel housekeeping Responsible with attention to detail Extremely trustworthy Motivated and hard working Ability to relate positively and effectively with diverse people Love of Portland and desire to share your city with the world Working Conditions Housekeeping will be paid hourly. The position requires the ability to work days and evenings including weekends and public holidays. The job will require one to stand or walk for an extended period of time. Duties will require reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and/or stooping. Duties will also require one to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and/or place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
