Job Summary: Outdoor event venue is looking for a dedicated Event/Security & Logistics Supervisor who is a problem solver and extremely people-oriented. This Event/Security & Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for supporting venue logistics and monitoring events at a barn and surrounding outdoor areas. The Event/Security & Logistics Supervisor’s duties may change based on the event. The Event/Security & Logistics Supervisor must be available on afternoons and evenings (including 1-3 weekends per month). Responsibilities & Duties: • Open and maintain all entrances to venue • Monitor and assist with parking • Welcome all event guests with friendly and upbeat attitude • Support event coordinators with varying needs • Communicate policies and enforcement procedures to event coordinators, guests, and clients for the purpose of ensuring their understanding • Monitor the event to ensure rules are followed and everyone is acting safely • Drive golf cart to various parts of property if needed • Be responsible for logistical aspects of events including but not limited to, lighting, electric firepit, fountain, trash, and restroom checks • Lock up venue at the end of event and make sure everything has been removed from the property • Keep in contact and make direct reports to the Events and Marketing Manager Qualifications & Skills • High school diploma or above • Have a valid driver’s license • Must be available year-round on weekends • Previous experience with event security and/or coordination (preferred) • People person with high levels of communication • Flexible and independent problem solver • Ability to analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions • Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: • Requires prolonged standing and walking • Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials • Must be able to work outdoors year-round with varying temperatures • Must work in crowded and noisy environments Salary: • $18/hour Position Type: • Part-Time Hours of Work: • Flexible hours varying on event – afternoons and evenings required • Some weekdays and weekends • Hours range from 5-8 hours per event To Apply: Please reply with your resume and cover letter.
