A neutered male 1 yr & 8 month shepherd mix, searching for a loving, indoor home with an experienced owner who can help teach him how to be the best boy ever! Charlie is a wonderful guy who's only problem is being big and not knowing. He's like a great big puppy who, wants to be in your arms, in your face, all over you. He does like to play fetch, especially the chasing part, but he will bring back at time. He sits and takes treats well. OTHER DOGS: When the shelter did his temp test, he was forward and dominant toward the female dog therefore he may do best as an only dog unless someone has experience integrating new dogs and slowly introducing them over weeks, with a commitment to teach them how to share the same home. Charlie is young and energetic, therefore he would benefit from an owner who will teach him basic commands and how to have manners. He's a good boy, he just needs someone to invest some time and enjoys teaching a dog basic commands using treats and positive reinforcement to help him understand what is expected of him. Dogs aim to please and Charlie just needs that special someone to show him the ropes. Charlie is seeking an indoor home where he can be part of the day to day with his new family. The shelter is open Tuesday - Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday).
