BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Facilities Assistant works in a diverse range of activities involved in cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Brooklawn Country Club buildings, public areas and offices. Club employees are hospitality centric with frequent interface with club members and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:  High school graduate or equivalent.  2+ years of experience.  Strong attention to detail.  Ability to communicate effectively and take verbal or written direction.  Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Field member inquiries courteously, efficiently, and promptly. 2. Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance. 3. Move tables, chairs, and other furniture. 4. Clean interior and exterior of club campus buildings, as well as machinery and equipment. 5. Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to Facilities Manager. 6. Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs. 7. Comply with all safety and health regulations. 8. Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 1.
