Deeply inspired by monasticism, Brother James’ songs explore mysticism, deep self-searching, and the daily, necessary struggle we all face to remain present, fully alive, and grateful. His stories document and guide us along the messy human process of pursuing truth and attempting to love people well. About Lapel: After years as a backing vocalist and keyboardist sitting in with bands like Ezra Furman, Curls (Christopher Owens of Girls), and the Magik*Magik Orchestra (Death Cab for Cutie), Debbie Neigher has stepped out on her own with Lapel, a new feminist synth pop solo project. By turns playful and personal, introspective and danceable, Lapel's debut record "Periphery" -- co-produced by Beau Sorenson (Death Cab for Cutie, tUnEyArDs) and Neigher herself -- marks a new sound for the artist, trading the piano-based indie pop of her past solo releases for an immersive, glittering electronic sound that earned her praise from Billboard and The San Francisco Chronicle. She is currently finishing an EP produced and engineered by Andrew Lappin (Childish Gambino, HAIM) in her new home of Los Angeles. Jules & the Howl brings glam rock and blues roots to the LA scene. With theatrical larger-than-life performances that embody the spirit of 60s-70s rock, Jules & the Howl inspire a communal atmosphere of cathartic liberation. The Minnesota Child is the moniker of Los-Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ethan Buckner. His songs blend soulful melodies, stirring lyrics, and intricate harmonies to produce a rhythmic indie folk/pop sound that inspires and connects listeners. In 2016, Ethan teamed up with his brother, drummer and producer Matt Buckner, to infuse his raw and emotional songs with a lush and symphonic sound. In February 2018, TMC debuted as a full band headlining Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. His brand-new record, Fireflies, is "a life affirming, joyful collection of songs that find the beauty in both the dark and the light” (Impose). `
