We are currently looking for Kennel Assistants for our small, privately owned animal hospital. Must be comfortable with both cats and dogs. Must have reliable transportation. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail. Main duties will revolve around maintenance/cleaning of clinic and care for boarding pets and hospitalized patients. This includes: Feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and performing nail trims. Additional tasks are assisting the veterinarian or technicians with restraining animals for treatment and laboratory sample collection. Often kennel assistants are also called upon to assist our clients with carrying purchases or pets to their cars so an ability to carry 30lbs or more is a must. This position includes most holiday. Shifts may be a mixture of mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends for a total of 20-25 hours weekly. Potential for more in the future. Please respond to this posting with a resume
