The Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School will celebrate Black History after being reschedule due to COVID-19. The Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School will celebrate and honor seven “unsung heroes” for their contributions. The honorees included Myrtle Beach former City Manager Tom Leath, Photojournalist Janet Morgan, Mrs. Betty Richardson, and Mr. Docshee Moore. The event is set for 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Mary C. Canty Recreation Center, 971 Canal Street. The attire is African Print/Bold Colors.
