RENTON, WA — Renton neighbors will have an opportunity Saturday to offload some tricky items during a spring recycling event scheduled at Renton Technical College. The Saturday event will accept scrap metal, certain large appliances and styrofoam, including packing peanuts and clean blocks.
Here are a few things to bring:

Where: Renton Technical College's north parking lotNE 6th Place and Monroe Avenue NEWhen: Saturday, May 1510 a.m. - 2 p.m. The city plans to host two more seasonal events in the months ahead, including mattress, cardboard and tire recycling on June 12. Another styrofoam event is scheduled for September. Residents can find a list of 2021 recycling events on the city of Renton website.
