"Rather than honoring one or two Principals of the Year, this year we want to celebrate, honor and thank all BCPS principals," Williams said. "Being a principal is always an incredibly challenging and important role. Every day, our principals are providing instructional and staff leadership, analyzing data, managing facilities, assisting families and students, monitoring and enhancing school climate, nurturing community and business relationships and more." Williams added: "This year, they demonstrated their grace, expertise and creativity as they continued to lead despite the global pandemic and the ransomware attack on our school system. I hope the community joins us in celebrating our schoolhouse leaders."
