PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Lucy, a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix, is available for adoption now at the Prince William County Animal Shelter. She isn't just a pretty face, Lucy would be a great fit on the walking path or relaxing on the couch. "Lucy is such a sweet girl, although she is somewhat shy and cautious," the animal shelter wrote on her PetFinder page. "She startles easily, and therefore shouldn't go to a home with children." Still, Lucy would fit in well in a household with other adults. She's four years old, 55 pounds, and has already been spayed. Lucy might need some time to adapt to new surroundings, but she could flourish in a quiet home. "We think she would be a wonderful companion in a quiet adult home," the animal shelter wrote. They added that Lucy is at her happiest in a home "where she can relax and snuggle with her people."
