ARLINGTON, VA — As the June 8 Democratic primary approaches in Arlington, the voter registration deadline is Monday, May 17. The primary will feature races for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, House of Delegates and Arlington County Board. Voters in the 45th and 49th House Districts will vote in the primary, but there will be no primary for the 47th and 48th House Districts. The Republican Party of Virginia determined nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general through a convention. U.S. citizens in Virginia who will be 18 or older by the Nov. 2 general election are eligible to register to vote. Applications may be submitted online https://vote.arlingtonva.us/Voter-Registration by the end of May 17, in person at the Arlington County Electoral Board (2100 Clarendon Blvd, Suite 320) by 5 p.m. on May 17, or downloaded at https://vote.arlingtonva.us/Elections and mailed to the Arlington County Electoral Board, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Suite 320, Arlington, VA 22201. Mailed applications must be postmarked by May 17. Residents registered to vote should also update their address if needed at vote.elections.virginia.gov, by email at [email protected], or by calling 703-228-3456 Voters who do not update their registration records before the deadline may be ineligible to vote in the primary. Early voting for the June 8 primary began on April 23 and will continue through 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 5. An acceptable form of ID is required for in-person voting. In-person early voting happens at Courthouse Plaza, 2100 Clarendon Blvd. Here are the early voting hours at this location: April 23 - June 5Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 29th and June 5th9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 32 p.m.-7 p.m. In-person early voting happens at Madison Community Center, 3829 N.
