Description
OAKLAND, NJ — Time to rummage through the house looking for those styrofoam pieces you weren't really sure which bin should go on.
There's a styrofoam collection drive in Oakland this Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., at 1 Municipal Plaza.
Only clean and dry styrofoam that has not been in contact with food is being accepted. Materials should also have no tape and no ink markings.
Food containers and packing peanuts are not accepted.
The first hour of the event is open only for Oakland residents and the following two are also for all Bergen County residents.
The event is being hosted by the Boy Scout Troop 49, the borough of Oakland, and the Sustainable Oakland Green Team.
