ST. CHARLES, IL — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted. Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year's grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one. Hannah Hillova will graduate from St. Charles East. Plans after graduation: Hannah is an AFS exchange student this year. She will return to Slovakia to finish 2 years of high school before college. Accomplishments: Hannah is a wonderful student, eager to try all new activities. She was an adventurous AFS Covid pioneer, one of only 43 AFS students in the USA this year. Special message: Hannah, I am so proud of your upbeat, adventurous spirit. You have excelled in a very new environment and made the most of every situation.
