JOHNSTON, RI — BJ's Wholesale Club in Johnston and across Rhode Island is hosting a hiring event Saturday to match 80 new employees with positions that come with a $500 sign-on bonus. The event will take place at the company's stores in Coventry, Johnston, and Middletown from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To be interviewed for a position, potential workers need to show up at one of the three stores during the event and check in at an outdoor tent, said BJ's in a news release. If interviewers are not immediately available, attendees will receive a text message when it is their turn. Current employees who recommend a new hire will receive a $500 referral bonus 90 days after the person is hired, according to the company. BJ's is currently looking to hire people to fill roles including supervisors, leads, managers, cashiers, stock and recovery clerks, forklift drivers, and more. The full list of jobs is available here.
