AURORA, IL—Children ages 12 and up are eligible for a free Pfizer vaccine through May 18 at the Aurora-Kane vaccination site in Aurora.
The site, located at 970 N. Lake St., is accommodating walk-ins, and is open to all Illinois residents ages 12 and up.
A parent or guardian should accompany any child under 18, however, if a parent or guardian is unable to attend they can sign a consent form and allow another adult to accompany the minor.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted emergency use authorization for the 12-to-15 age group. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave full approval earlier this week.
The Aurora-Kane vaccination site is open the following hours:
Thursday, May 13, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.Friday, May 14, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.Saturday, May 15, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.Tuesday, May 18, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.
