TEMPE, AZ — Local Italian restaurant Oregano's is launching a new, takeout kitchen concept in early June in Tempe. The new concept, which is called Oregano's Takeout Kitchen, opens June 2 on west University Drive, near Priest Drive and State Route 143, the company said. The new restaurant features Oregano's Chicago-style pizza, along with the pastas, sandwiches and salads that the company is known for. "We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest concept, Oregano's Takeout Kitchen, and we can't wait to see our guests' reactions when we open our doors," said Mark S. Russell, founder of Oregano's Pizza Bistro, in a statement. "This location has been in the works for some time as we've seen demand grow for being able to eat our food wherever our guests are." The takeout-only kitchen will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., featuring the same menu as Oregano's 21 Arizona locations, the company said. In addition, the company's newest location will feature lunch combinations and large catering offerings. The takeout concept will employ around 30 people, with applications being accepted now for the opening here.
