Goodwill Industries seeks a Janitorial Cleaner for our Salem Outlet location. GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs basic cleaning duties for Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette (GICW) facilities. Works together with other janitorial personnel to ensure quality cleaning service to GICW. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: --Clean and sanitize restrooms. --Clean sinks, countertops, and tables in lunch rooms. --Restock supplies in restrooms and lunch rooms. --Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. --Sweep, vacuum and mop floors. --Dust and clean furnishings as directed. --Clean grounds, sidewalks and parking lots of litter, glass, cigarette butts, or other debris. --Clear sidewalks and walkways of snow or other debris. --Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. --Clean glass doors, mirrors, windows, windowsills and blinds. --Lock and unlock building as directed. --Set up rooms for meetings. --Keep work area neat, clean and free of safety hazards. QUALIFICATIONS: --Must be 18 years of age or older. --Must be able to function independently or as part of a team in a work setting. --Must maintain consistent, predictable and satisfactory attendance and punctuality as scheduled. --Must be able to demonstrate upon request functional literacy and numeric proficiency. --Must have command of the English language sufficient to verbally communicate with the general public. WORKING CONDITIONS: --Works indoors and outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions. --Exposure to solvents and cleaners. --Long periods of standing or walking.
