Ebay, Craigslist Listing, Picking & Shipping Help ***Don't be scared off by the long listing below, I just want you to have a clear picture of what we do. I'm looking for a (dependable, reliable and honest person that's willing to work 5 days a week) and willing learn on the go, any additional knowledge of the things we do is a plus. ABOUT US MD Industrial Salvage runs several eBay stores out of south Baltimore, near the stadiums. We offer everything from Industrial parts, Antique Architecture items, Vintage Auto Parts, Collectibles, Signs, High End Electrical items, and pretty much anything we can purchase or salvage from closed or closing businesses. We have purchased/salvaged goods to sell from the closed Hershey factory in Pa., Post War mansions in PA, Auto Distributors, Stained Glass factories, Power Plants, Sparrows Point Steel Mill, and everything in between. If you have a love for these types of goods, and have experience researching and listing on eBay and Craigslist, this could be a great fit. This job is on-site, there is no "work at home" scenario that works for this position. MUST READ - IMPORTANT The work environment is easy going and has some flexibility. Just so there no surprises, we work in the basement of an historic stone building in Baltimore, near the Casino and Stadiums. We go on picks in very dirty environments on occasion. It can be a VERY DIRTY job and VERY COLD in the winter. We also have an occasion to LIFT HEAVY OBJECTS, picking them up from our warehouse, listing and shipping. We've been here for 8 years, and we are currently looking at newer cleaner locations possible just outside the city. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO HELPING WITH: * Generating new and revising eBay and/or Craigslist product listings. * Manage the uploading of all products including product descriptions, technical, product features, product imagery, pricing, options and other related items. * Ensure pricing is accurate and competitive. * Ensure items are in the proper categories. * Verifying and ensuring that product information is accurate and properly displayed. * Assist customers as needed. * Writing winning descriptions. Everything involved with listing items for sale on eBay and Craigslist * Researching past selling prices, taking photographs, describing the item, etc. * Photo editing. * Packaging and Shipping of sold items, ensure the proper shipping and shipping cost. * Delivering to USPS and FedEx. * Some heavy lifting involved. * Preparing freight shipments. * Picking up products from our other warehouse. * Going on an occasional pick. * Cleaning of items before pictures, and when shipping. * Whatever help is needed that day. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Must be responsible, reliable, honest, and most importantly, trustworthy - Good internet research skills. - Very comfortable working individually and as a team. - Able to work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday 8am until 4pm, We have some flexibility - Previous eBay, Craigslist and/or Amazon selling experience a plus - Photoshop or photo editing software experience is a plus. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Must not be afraid to get dirty, you will. - Must be able to left heavy items, some can be as heavy as 75-100 lbs.
