starting a new band and need to make new friends that love playing music and have an open mind for new creative endeavors. last band was experimental "post-rock"ish and noisy, new band is gonna melt faces and be less of a circle jerk. i have a temporary drummer that really slams and people tell me nice things about my stylish bass playing - we both have degrees and teach but your education background doesnt matter just be cool and competent dont act like youre too good to like classic rock. dont act lik eyoure too good for any kind of music. i dont care about your music theory and technical abilities unless youre good enough to break the rules. dont be so proud of your music taste. dont like carseat headrest you should probably at least like fugazi, sleep, shellac, king crimson, miles davis, kgtlw, black flag, funkadelic - but dont let me tell you how to feel. just have an open mind, be passionate, and have a wide vocabulary the two of us are in our midtweneties. i have a small and modestly equipped rehearsal and recording space.
