Travel to the scenic destination of Sand Hollow State Park, just outside of beautiful St. George. Work as an event coordinator at the gorgeous Sand Hollow State Park during the Sand Hollow Triathlon. $15/hour + travel expenses. Lodging provided at the award-winning Sand Hollow Resort. Travel expenses paid (gas reimbursed and food provided). St. George is a 2-hour drive from Las Vegas. Dates and Times Needed: Friday, May 21st, 8:00am - 7:15pm with lunch break Saturday, May 22nd 5:30am - 12pm Job Description: Triathlon Event Set-up on Friday morning at Sand Hollow State Park. Packet Pick Up and Athlete Check-In on Friday afternoon at Hurricane Rec Center. Saturday morning pre-race volunteer leadership and coordination. During race oversee Finish Line and Transition Area, volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator/Finish Line Coordinator will be a key member in managing the triathlon event and will be responsible for overseeing volunteers and the finish line, providing exceptional customer service to event participants while executing the race day plan. In addition, the position will also assist with various operational tasks that are imperative to successfully executing an endurance event. Efficient communication during the event is crucial. Requirements: Must have your own reliable transportation to Hurricane, Utah and between locations on both days. Ability to work within a team environment MUST be able to take initiative Great in-person customer service skills Leadership and management skills Physical Requirements: This position will require physical labor. You must be able to work outside, in some cases during inclement weather, for extended hours at a time. You should also be comfortable lifting at least 45lbs and physically be able to assist in packing, loading, moving, and unloading trucks containing event equipment.
