Screen Prep (Entry-Level) Our new Production Prep Associate will prepare screens in a specialized work area for screen printing process that contributes toward finish product. Responsibilities: Learn operation of production line Reclaiming screens Coating, imaging, building screens Wash squeegees and flood bars Scrape screens Tape and inking screens Rinse and wash screens correctly without losing any detail Make ink Maintain a clean and safe work area This position is an entry-level position – no experience necessary!! Required knowledge/skills: Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs and follow oral/written instructions Attention to detail Comfortable working in fast-paced, high volume environment Dependability Ability to work in a team atmosphere Physical Demands / Work Environment: This is a labor-intensive position, requiring close work with chemicals in ink. Requires performing heavy, fatiguing work, bending, stooping, and consistently lifting containers/materials and equipment up to 50 pounds. Material and Equipment Directly Used: Automatic coater, coating troughs, screens, screen racks, drying cabinet, emulsion drum, dolly, air compressor, and barrel key Squeegees and flood bar stations Automated screen washer”426 D-SS”, Stencil Remover Booth, Degreaser Booth, Dip Tank for ER2, and High-Pressure Hose “1400PSI. Nitrile or latex gloves, safety glasses, chemical mask, apron, wipes, and towels Screen Print Quality Assurance (Entry-Level) JOB DUTIES: Performs end of line quality check for all screen-printed apparel and products. Collects all finished orders from dryer and evaluates all finished items according to approved quality standards. Check each order and confirm that the garment color, garment style, design, design location, and ink colors are correct. Check that the order has the correct size run and confirm the counts according to the work order. Inform the press operator if there are any print flaws or shortage in the size runs. Thoroughly read each work order and apply any special handling that is required. Finish and pack orders into boxes or bags. REQUIRED SKILLS Fast learner Ability to read signs and follow oral and written instructions Attention to detail Able to work on feet for up to eight to ten hours, reaching continually throughout the workday, and the ability to keep pace with production schedule Screen Print Operator (1 Year Automatic Press Experience Required) Responsibilities include: Operate Automatic Screen Print Press including MHM Synchroprint S-Type and/or MHM X-Treme. Properly scan all orders in the route tracking template. Look up the Art Approval image for all orders they work on. Check the work order and confirm that the garment style and colors are correct. Check the work order and confirm that the screens have the correct design and that they are inked with the correct ink. Load all types of garments properly for requested locations for Certified and Expert Printers. Material and Equipment Directly Used: Automated and manual screen print machines and related equipment. Personal computer with Microsoft Office software applications. Software applications including Microsoft Dynamics AX. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $14.00 per hour
