Star Homes is looking for individuals to join our team as construction Craftsman. These candidates will have an assortment of responsibilities at building sites wherever Star Homes is building. Some responsibilities may require little skill, while other duties require extensive experience or training. Craftsman assist the Construction Supervisors in building decks, miscellaneous framing and roofing, installing siding, setting cabinets, installing interior trim, assisting in final punch list duties, cleaning structures and building sites, etc. Craftsman are: • Willing to learn and have the ability to communicate to coworkers, subcontractors, and vendors. • Enjoy working in a team environment and working on different projects daily/weekly. • Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding along with climbing heights while using proper safety equipment. • Able to lift and work with heavy loads (up to 70lbs) while walking around a building site. • Able to use levels, hammers, operate saws, power drills and other hand tools as well as learn to use bobcats, trenchers, and other small construction equipment. • Able to follow directions and complete tasks alone, or as part of a team. • The ability to work outside in all seasons, as well as in unheated or non-air-conditioned buildings is a must. Candidates that can communicate in both English and Spanish, or have specialized skills or training, will be highly considered. Employment is contingent on a background check, a clean driving record, and possession of a valid driver’s license. Benefits include paid holidays, vacations, overtime, and insurance. Salary is based on experience.
