Description Staff Management|SMX has a great opportunity for a Maintenance Tech to work at our site facility in Westland, MI. The fast-paced environment of our organization requires the Maintenance Tech to provide effective and efficient maintenance service to eliminate production downtime, protect plant assets, and operate in a safe manner. You will participate with our customer to stay on top of preventative maintenance programs and ensure production is on track. Starting pay is $20/hr. Job Responsibilities - Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during normal production operations. - Repair equipment as needed; involve and communicate maintenance and personnel. - Maintain the chemical dispensers on all production lines. - Maintenance of waste disposal. - Perform pattern change during assignments. - Fabricate simple tools, jigs, and brackets to use in the production environment. - Repair finished products racks. - Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and complete necessary documentation. - Any other duties assigned by the supervisor as required. - Must pass Background Check and Drug Screen - High School Diploma or GED required - Six months plus experience troubleshooting equipment and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing/production facility PLC experience a plus - Robotics/automation experience a plus - Some welding experience required - 3rd shift (10pm-6am) or 1st shift (6am-2pm) #CB • Full Time • Temporary or Contract • Long Term • 2nd Shift • 3rd Shift • 1st Shift Associate Requirements • HS Diploma or GED • Able to Lift 40 pounds • Background Check • Drug Test • Stand for Shift Duration • Must be at least 18 years old Associate Benefits • Paid Training • Weekly paychecks • Direct Deposit or Cash Card pay options • Medical / Dental Insurance • Casual Dress Code • Other on the spot perks • $250 bonus after 30 days • After 30 days of perfect attendance We look forward to you joining our team!
