Get a Better Job with Industrial Source and Make Things Happen! Industrial Source is now hiring a full time Cylinder Processor and Customer Service person to complete our Salem Team. Shift 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. The position responsibilities will be shared within the following areas: Cylinder Processor, 80% of weekly job duties: Responsible for sorting incoming cylinders, filling high pressure cylinders and portable liquid containers with industrial oxygen, nitrogen, or CO2, loading/unloading delivery trucks by forklift, pallet jack or cylinder cart, maintaining plant organization, assisting customers on the dock during regular business hours, and maintaining accurate cylinder inventory. This person is truly our quarterback, knowing where all cylinders are located and making sure they are in the right location for each stage of processing. You’ll maintain accurate labeling by removing any and all old labels and then cleaning cylinders to make sure those labels are legible, compliant with current federal requirements, and correct for the service intended. Additionally responsible for shipping and receiving of incoming freight, general industrial supplies. Inside Sales/Customer Service, 20%: Assisting walk-in and phone customers with welding questions and products, dispatching for delivery when needed, assisting with general store operations, and handling a variety of sales & customer service support tasks, order entry, inventory receiving & merchandising. You’ll assist in developing customer relationships, determining what customers want, helping create solutions, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The position is entry level, but we are growing and hiring for our future. Promotions from this position happen frequently. Skills needed: Teamwork, customer service, pro-active communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, dedication to safety, and confidence in acting decisively in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. Dependability….the ability to arrive at work on time, each day, ready to work…is critical. We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with the ability to maintain safety and regulatory agency standards (DOT, FDA, OSHA, etc.) while working under minimal supervision, prioritizing your own workload and exercising independent decision making. Lifting requirements up to 75lbs frequently, with assistance. **Cylinders are made of steel; by design they are heavy and awkward to move.
