We're currently seeking Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers to join our team of exceptionally skilled professionals. The NEMT driver will operate one of our vehicles to transport ambulatory, stretcher-dependent, or wheelchair-dependent passengers to healthcare facilities, residential care homes, dental offices, community clinics, and dialysis centers. Job Responsibilities: Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, facility representatives, and the public using principles of good customer service & good judgment. Demonstrates compassion for the elderly and disabled. Uphold NEMT safety guidelines and procedures. Conduct a vehicle safety inspection of the assigned vehicle prior to beginning route & at the end of the shift. Safely load and unload wheelchair-dependent passengers in the vehicle. Adapts driving style to current weather conditions to ensure safety. Perform “Door thru Door” service. Utilize navigation devices to determine the most efficient routes. Communicates all Incidents and Accidents to Dispatch. Any other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Verbal and Written English skills. Must possess a valid Class C California driver's license. Must consent to a Criminal Background Screening and Sex Offender Registry Search at time of hire and annually thereafter. Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check at time of hire and continuously during employment. Must pass a Drug Screen at the time of hire and randomly thereafter. Must pass Alcohol Screenings randomly after hire. Familiarity with various navigation systems Ability to remain in the seated position for extended periods. Ability to lift or pull up to 50lbs.
