Service Technician - Food Service Curtze Food Service, one of the nation's largest independent foodservice distribution companies, is currently seeking a Service Technician focusing on the repair and service of chemical/beverage equipment within restaurants in the BUFFALO, NY market. This job pays $18 - $23/hour based upon experience. Plumbing and electrical experience very helpful, as well as institutional chemical experience. Knowledge of coffee/beverage equipment also a plus. Job Summary: The Service Technician is responsible for customer on-site installations, repair, and maintenance of beverage dispensing machines. Chemical responsibilities include the installation, calibration, and maintenance of chemical dispensers. Performs in-service training for all customers in assigned areas. Reports to Chemical Program Director. The Service Technician position will require to be on call on rotating weekends for emergency service calls. A clean MVR is also required Duties and Responsibilities Installs, repairs, and maintains beverage machines at customer locations. Installs, repairs, and maintains chemical dispensers. Selects the appropriate beverage/chemical machine(s), dispenser(s), and parts according to the invoice and service schedule. Explains proper operation and cleaning procedures, including in-service training when necessary. Performs emergency repair service (after hours, weekends, and holidays) on an on-call rotation basis Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Equipment Express strong communication skills Knowledge of dispensers and equipment for all beverage and chemical applications. Experience with electricity and with testing electrical components. Express strong troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently Require holding a valid driver's license. Education and Experience Previous related service repair experience Previous route experience Experience working independently Associated degree with courses in communication, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance helpful.
