Sweet Valerie ready for a new home!

Meet Valerie! This sweet girl is approximately 1 year old. She is a pit bull mix and is spayed, current on vaccines, and heart worm negative. Valerie was rescued by one of our clients from a shelter in January. She was in pretty rough shape, but was nursed back to health. Her family has put in lots of time and money to get Valerie to where she is now, but although they tried to make Valerie part of their family permanently, she is not being well accepted by the other dogs in the home. Valerie can be a shy and nervous girl, so she would do best in a home with another confident dog to help her come out of her shell, but one that can also deal with her puppy antics. Once Val warms up, she is full of energy! She has a very sweet personality, but is definitely a bull in a china shop! She has no concept of her size when she is giving out her love! Valerie has not been tested around cats, and is not recommended she go to a home with small children, due to her energy level. Valerie does well with most dogs, but can come on pretty strong in her play style. She would do best with someone who has experience with the breed. Valerie went through a 2 week board & train with us and did great. She will need someone that is dedicated to continuing her training and helping her build more confidence.
