Job purpose The Maintenance Employee will be responsible in one or more of the following areas: cleaning, recycling, electrical, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, repair and construction of equipment and structures; resolving safety situations; ensures assignments are completed in a timely manner. Varieties of tasks requiring skills in various trades and perform under minimal supervision. Duties and responsibilities ● Inspects facilities systems and their components for the purpose of identifying necessary repairs. ● Coordinates with Facility Manager of completion of projects a work orders efficiently. ● Builds articles (e.g. office furniture, fixtures, partitions, racking, counters, doors, fences and gates etc.) for purpose of modifying facilities to specific needs. ● Installs systems and components cabinets, electrical control equipment, motors, bells, clocks, conveyors and lighting circuits completing projects safely and within established time frames, ● Maintains tools, equipment and system components for purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating conditions. ● Safely maintain MHE such as Conveyor Systems, GOH Monorails, and Sortation Systems. ● Responds to situations resolving immediate safety concerns. ● Collects recycling and waste around the warehouse to dispense in waste containers. ● Follows cleaning and disinfecting procedures to ensure the health and safety of facility personnel. ● Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities (i.e. janitorial, loading and/or offloading containers and relocation of goods). ● Work under limited supervision using standardized practices directing other persons within a small work unit. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Two to five years of related warehouse experience required. • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally, with the team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 50 lbs. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:0 am to 3:30 pm (40 hours per week) 299 Thomas E. Dunn Memorial Hwy, Rutherford, NJ 07070.
