JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Painter/Assistant and or Body Guy Department: Paint Summary: Assists Paint Department with preparation of parts and materials by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Loads and moves materials to work area. -Applies masking to articles. -Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted. -Pushes painted articles to and from drying oven. -Cleans spray and drying chamber, conveyor, tanks, hoses, and nozzles. -Furnishes Painter with materials, tools, and supplies. -Some knowledge with a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, welder, sander, and spray guns. -Cleans work area. -Performs other routine duties. Experienced individual -Familiar with best practices in the application of fillers, primers and paints to parts and vehicle body surfaces using spray guns for the purpose of completing required work. -Experience with blending and mixing for the purpose of matching colors for application. -Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, welder, sander, and spray guns.
