Description
A cleaning supervisor shoulders a wide range of responsibilities to maintain the cleanliness of the facility and management skillset to make certain the cleaning staff carries out all daily duties and cleaning projects, according to the building specifications. Establishment of cleaning standards and procedures for workers and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures. Coaching and developing employees (cleaners) Scheduling and assigning specific duties/roles to cleaners and ensuring that they are carried out expertly. Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis to know when they are worn-out to request replacement. Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse. Providing any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties. Must possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and even in listening. Must have good interpersonal attributes. That is to say, the supervisor must be someone that gets along easily with people (easily approachable) Must be outstanding when it comes to organization and coordination of both humans and their activities. Excellent decision-making ability is a must-have. Must be proactive in the line of duty. Must have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team, and most importantly, lead a team. Should have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles. Must have relevant experience in cleaning and supervision of cleaning procedures. A basic degree of understanding in any hospitality-related field is also required. Be cheerful and courteous; is positive & up-beat; is familiar with cleaning services & chemicals and able to communicate with Property Manager and staff. Performs cleaning tasks and assign duties to other cleaning team members. Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with departmental policies & procedures to meet or exceed the cleaning standards for the property. Order Inventory items: brooms, mops, toiletries, chemicals, etc. Report deficiencies found on property (training will be provided). Work individually & in groups to perform the assigned daily tasks, but as a team member to assist where needed to be sure that the cleaning specifications/ tasks for the condo are completed in a timely manner. Corrects cleaning problems found during inspections of one’s work. Completes end-of-shift duties. Attends on-the-job training sessions as scheduled. Performs work as scheduled for special projects & directed by Property Manager. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Specific qualities and strengths: attention to detail, customer service skills, strong work ethic YOU MUST SPEAK ENGLISH AND SPANISH MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to perform physical activities that include bending, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting. Ability to carry up to 20lbs frequently. Able to work with others to maintain a team environment. Report confidentially any conflict between yourself and another team player to Operations Manager. Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner.
