Ecstatic Dance Dallas - ReUnion re·un·ion /rēˈyo͞onyən/ :: defined noun "the act or process of being brought together again as a unified whole." There's so much to say. Really nothing needs to be said. Thankfully we don't need words where we're going this week. Consider this Sunday night a reunion of the magical people, a field trip with your favorite friends, a playground (literally, actually, and you're gonna love it) that will delight your playful soul. We'll gather outside in the open air at the historic Flagpole Hill. Masks are optional since it's outdoors with LOTS OF ROOM TO MOVE. You can keep as much distance as you'd like or need for personal health considerations. We will operate and produce this reunion with covid-conscious common sense. Hand sanitizer will be available. Bring your own mask. Take care of yourself and others. If you're not feeling well or have symptoms, stay home. If you're at high risk and haven't been vaccinated, same. If you want to attend, but want to keep a lot of distance from others and have no close interaction, that will be accommodated and honored. The key is to give ourselves and each other a lot of grace. We're dancing through a global shitstorm. Let's be gentle and brave and fiercely compassionate. Take care of yourself, let folks be where they're at and meet each other there. Let's dance. If it's really bad (think lightning or a deluge that could ruin expensive sound equipment), we'll postpone. We're feeling lucky and hoping for the best. 3) The vision is to host monthly events through the summer - and continue our weekly schedule in the fall. That said, all is in flux. We create a space that is inspiring and uplifting; without talking, alcohol or the nightclub scene. We encourage participants to utilize the Ecstatic Dance space as an invitation for their magical mysterious nature, soulful somatic movement, creative self-expression, and heart-centered connection. We hold a nonverbal, barefoot, alcohol-free container to keep the journey intentional and lucid. You can dance the night away and still wake up early to do awesome stuff in the world! Bravo! GUIDELINES: 1. No talking on the dance floor 2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment 3. No photos or videos, cellphones muted and out of reach / sight 4. Respect for the space and for one another 5. Move your body however you wish! 6. You can dance alone, or with others depending upon your comfort level regarding covid. WHY?
