Join us in the garden for an outdoor screening of Moonlight (2016). Doors open at 8:15pm We are excited to present this powerful, coming-of-age story during Pride month. Our partners from Equal Space will introduce the film. Moonlight (2016). Directed by Barry Jenkins. (111 min). Rated R. A young African-American man grapples with his identity and sexuality while experiencing the everyday struggles of childhood, adolescence, and burgeoning adulthood. The film will be screened with English subtitles. This event is part of Arts in the Garden: A series from The Newark Museum of Art & New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Sponsors Major support provided by PSE&G Foundation Additional support provided by TD Charitable Foundation THE DAY OF YOUR EVENT PARKING Parking is available next to the Museum for a $10 fee, with entrances located on Washington Street and Central Avenue. Payment is through Pay by App and Text to Pay. Cash payment is not available. Event Guidelines Access the event directly through the Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden gate, located near the Museum parking lot. Doors open at 8:15 pm. Have your digital or printed ticket ready to show to our Visitor Experience Assistant. Event attendees must have their temperature screened upon entry to read below 100.4°F. Otherwise, they and their party, will not be admitted. Attendees must wear a mask unless eating or drinking. Musicians will not be masked during the performance. Staff, volunteers, and contractors will wear masks. Chairs will be set six feet apart. Attendees can move their chairs to sit next to their guest(s) once they arrive at their seat. No food or drinks will be available for purchase on the premises. Attendees may bring their own food and drinks. No alcohol allowed. Free water bottles will be available. Bathrooms will be accessible through the South Wing Entrance. No refunds or exchanges, unless the event is cancelled or postponed.
